My University Life
My university life at Japan Women’s University started on April 3rd, 2023. I have learned many things studying in university. I felt that it is important to make new friends at university. When I first entered school, I had no real goals or motivation. I decided to make some changes after I spoke with a friend who is very motivated. I decided that I will try the Online English conversation and club activity and JWU PR Ambassador. I think that I can mature more by learning from my friends’ words and actions.
Also, I think that it is important to have friends who have similar goals. Many of my friends major in international culture and have a dream to work in other countries. I feel excited to speak with them because I can feel motivated and encouraged and time flies by whenever I talk with them. For example, when I couldn't give a presentation in English, my friends encouraged me. There are many people who can support and encourage each other to achieve their goals in the university.
I think I can mature by meeting many people. Therefore, I want to be excellent woman who supports others and learns many things.
私の大学生活
２０２３年４月３日、日本女子大学での私の大学生活が始まった。大学に通い始め、多くのことを感じた。中でも印象的なことは、大学で出会う友達の重要さだ。自分とは違う考えの友達と交流しながら、多くのことを学ぶことができた。入学当初、自分は失敗を恐れることが多い人だった。しかし、どんなことでも挑戦する友達と話したことによって、影響を受け、私は大学生活を多くのことに挑戦していこうと思えた。そして、１年生から英会話やサークル、アンバサダーに参加するなど、多くのことを挑戦しようとしている。このように友達から学んだことを自分のものにしていくことで、自分自身さらに成長できると感じたのだ。
また、同じ目標をもって、一緒に歩める仲間の存在が重要だということも感じた。私が所属している国際文化学部の友達は、みんな外国での経験を積みたい子たちが多く、夢を語あうだけでも、時間を忘れるほど楽しい。例えば、目標のためにお互い励ましあい努力する姿も、とても感動的である。例えば、私が英語のスピーチがうまくいかなかったとき、周りの子が自分のことのように励ましてくれた。このように、同じ目標に向かって、お互いを尊重しあい、歩める友が多くいるのだ。
私は大学生活とは、様々な人の出会いを通し、たくさん成長できる場所だと思う。そのため、これからいろんな人と出会う中で、たくさんのことを学び、周りの人を助けることができる立派な社会人になれるよう頑張っていきたい。
